Description “Autumn Embrace” Earrings ~ When the vibrant green gives way to a change in the air, but not without a stunning display of it’s own. The autumn has it’s own shimmer, not like the dew drops of spring, but a glow of warm color that is almost enough to hold you all winter long. Meticulously hand forged of solid sterling silver and feature genuine tiger eye and vibrant faceted green onyx. These earrings are one of a kind, you will receive the exact pair shown here. THE DETAILS -Solid sterling silver throughout (hooks, settings, torch fired rivets). -Hooks are kidney wires with a loop catch on the back so you can wear them securely. -Genuine tiger eye stones dangle from hand wrought sterling silver harnesses. A torch fired rivet secures them to the harness allowing them to sway in a lovely way. Stones are warm golden browns with that signature tiger eye sheen and shimmer. -Bezel set above are genuine rose cut faceted green onyx stones in a decadent and almost mouthwatering shade of saturated green. This green onyx has been enhanced to achieve its vibrant color (common practice with this stone). -Total length of earrings from top of hooks to bottom of design is 49mm (just under 2″). ABOUT TIGER EYE Tiger’s eye is a chatoyant (showing waves of silky shimmer) golden yellow brown member of the quartz family. It is found in many locations throughout the world. It’s chatoyancy (also known as the cat’s eye effect) has made it a highly desirable ornamental gemstone. It is said that tiger’s eye combines the energies of Earth and Sun, creating an intense stone that also possesses a powerful grounding quality. It is prized as a stone of protection as well, being an unblinking eye that looks after its wearer. ABOUT GREEN ONYX Green onyx is a microcrystalline variety of quartz, usually translucent and subtle to saturated green in color, sometimes with cream colored bands running through. The color often comes from chromium deposits in the stone, but it is also often enhanced or dyed to achieve a saturated color (enhancing is common practice with this stone, dating back to ancient times). Green onyx is said to promote emotional balance as well as strength and discipline, and is also linked with new beginnings.
