Description These dimensional convex disk “Shield” earrings feature rich rustic hammered texture, beautiful light play and reflective qualities, and function as awesome touchstone earrings. Created in solid sterling silver, each one is hammer formed with it’s own unique texture. Solid sterling silver earring hooks complete the design. The very nature of a shield is to protect. It represents not only protection, but steadfast principals, commitment and loyalty. I’ve been wearing this design regularly, and frequently placing my thumb in the backside of the earring as a kind of touchstone anchoring practice. It helps me feel grounded, present, and safe. These earrings are made to order and each pair is unique. Yours will be created just for you. THE DETAILS -Disks are 20 gauge sterling silver about 16mm diameter (5/8″) , hammer textured and hammer forged into a domed convex shape. -The texture is rich and rustic, a combination of different hammering tools and techniques. These have gorgeous reflection and light play on the front side and mirror-like quality on the back side. Stamped on backside with .925 sterling silver stamp. -Total earring length from top of hook to bottom of design is 25mm (1″). -Drop length from connecting point at bottom of hook to bottom of dangle is 16mm (5/8″). -Earring hooks are small solid sterling silver ball end ear wires.
