A fine condition example Audemars Piguet SS/18K Royal Oak ref 56023SA circa 1980s. Featuring a substantial 36mm case and bracelet, with rich gray textured tapisserie dial and contrasting gold indexes and hands. This is a battery powered quartz model with sweep center seconds and date. While measuring approximately 36mm, like all Royal Oaks, this model wears larger than its millimeter dimensions would otherwise suggest. With gold octagonal bezel and exposed hexagonal bolts dressed in gold, and subtle and distinctive gold hands and dial indications. Every surface of the grey gradient dial is used to convey a function. The two tone bracelet shows no stretch whatsoever and will comfortably fit a 7 ” wrist. The signature clasp features the fold over “AP” logo clasp locking mechanism.
