Omega Seamaster Automatic YGF Caliber 560 circa 1962

A very handsome vintage man’s Omega Seamaster Automatic with date circa 1962. Featuring a very sharp condition 35 x 40mm gold shell case with beautiful 2 tone silver satin dial. The dial features a gold applied Omega symbol and logo, applied gold indexes and most notably, a contrasting vertical and horizontal silver band intersecting at the date window, that lend a stunning mid century modernist graphic to this model. The case is a gold shell over stainless steel, with the outer bezel and lugs offset with a subtle cross hatched texture. Powered by a scarce production caliber 560 self winding movement with sweep seconds and date. With Omega logo crystal and with distinctive Omega logo crown. This caliber is a non quick set date. The date advances by moving the hour hand ahead past 12, and then back to 9 to “quickly” advance the date. This handsome model includes the original beads of rice style Omega bracelet. The bracelet is of gold overlay over stainless steel and features the folding deployant clasp with raised Omega logo.
